As an Engineering Manager II within SDLC, you’ll lead a group of talented engineers focused on building tools, systems, and processes that empower developers to deliver high-quality software faster and more reliably. You’ll own key parts of the software development lifecycle—driving improvements in CI/CD, build infrastructure, testing frameworks, or release automation. What You’ll Do:
- Define the vision, strategy, and technical direction for a part of the SDLC organization in partnership with staff engineers and cross-team leaders relying on our internal platforms
- Coach and develop senior engineers and managers, fostering a culture of high performance, inclusion, and psychological safety
- Oversee project planning, execution, and technical quality, ensuring operational excellence and system reliability
- Participate in hiring and organizational planning for future growth
Who You Are:
- Experienced working on and leading internal platforms and/or developer productivity & developer experience organizations
- You have experience with monorepos, CI/CD and deployment pipelines.
- You have experience working with one or more of the following languages: Java, Go, Python, or Rust.
- Experience working with Bazel is strongly preferred.
- Excited and engaged about defining the future SDLC powered by Gen AI advancement
- A strong people manager, able to attract, develop, and retain top engineering talent
- You’re comfortable managing geographically distributed teams (across the Americas & Europe), and you have experience managing other managers.
